Roberta Pearl Brown Miller, age 88, of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away June 7, 2013 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was born December 31, 1924 in Houlka, Mississippi to the late Robert McDonald Brown and Fannie Pearl Roberts. Roberta retired from the Sheridan School District after 23 years of service as an outstanding teacher. She owned and operated the Dixie Dip from 1954 to 1964 and she always had a dream to become a professional writer, she wrote many journals in her life. Roberta was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan, Arkansas and formerly attended the First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a Rainbow Mother, a member of the Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary and a former Sunday School Teacher. Roberta is survived by two cousins, Vance Brown, Sr., Vance Brown, Jr.,; very special friends, Stephen and Linda Parks of Sheridan, Arkansas and a host of other family and various extended special friends that will miss her dearly. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Monday, June 10, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home Sheridan, Arkansas with Pastor Joel Holmes and Assistant Pastor Nathan Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan, Arkansas.
