Robert J. "Bobby" Quantz, 80, of Hensley, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at his home. Bobby was born May 29, 1934, in Haskell, Arkansas, a son of the late William Albert and Cora Elisabeth Sanders Quantz. He grew up in Haskell, where he graduated from Harmony Grove High School in 1955. He served in the Army National Guard. He married Betty Sue Bonner on July 27, 1957 in Paris, Arkansas. He was a sign painter for Donrey Outdoor Advertising for many years. He was a Baptist who enjoyed sports, woodworking and tinkering with lawnmowers. Bobby is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Sue Quantz of Hensley; daughter, Kimberly Lynn (Keith) Moore; granddaughter, Maeghan Elizabeth (James) Arnold of Little Rock; great-granddaughter, Meredith Eden Parker of Little Rock; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters. Funeral services will be Friday, November 14, 2014, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brother Robert Cossey officiating. Burial will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery . There will not be a visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
