Robert Lee Hurst

Robert Lee Hurst age 84, of Sheridan went home to be with his Lord on Friday, August 23, 2019. He was born December 24, 1934 in Rison to the late Robert Edward Hurst and Jewel Beatrice Sloop Hurst. He was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Hurst was a retired logger that enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Marilyn Louise Rhodes Hurst, one son Larry Edward Hurst, and numerous brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his son, Ronald Hurst (Valerie) of Prattsville, one daughter Cyndi Livingston of Sheridan, grandchildren, Cory Hurst (Jill), Camron Hurst (Shanna), Erica Nutt (Jake), great-grandchildren, Emily and Allison Hurst, Camden, Wriley and Cole Hurst, Rainie, McCrae and Hagen Nutt, one sister Louise Ray, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brown, Chris Brown, Randy Rhodes, Michael Rhodes, Tucker Rhodes, and Jayce Davis with Bro. Billy Joe Nichols and Bro. Steve Ward as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Hill and Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in Rhodes Cemetery in Sheridan.
