Robert Samuel Hudson

Robert Samuel Hudson, age 81, of Searcy passed away on December 2, 2022. He was born April 16, 1941, in Luxora, AR to the late Thomas Leroy Hudson and Jettie Pearl Gay Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas Leroy Hudson, Jr., Evelyn Lowerins, Yvonne Berry, Wanda Weedman, Donald Hudson, and Jimmy Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a retired grocer, owning numerous grocery stores through the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and watching sports. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Searcy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janet Crites Hudson, his children, Hillary Ann Hudson Brewer and her husband Joey, Ashley Denley and her husband Kevin, Sheena Jackson and her husband Jason, Molly Ingram and her husband Kerry, Mary Ann Pankey, Jane Blackburn and her husband David, Lynda Hudson, stepchildren, Chris Veddern and his wife Lezlie and Dawn Michelle Davis, one sister, Judy Wolverton of Utah, his grandchildren, Hudson Brewer and his wife Meagan, Clayton Brewer and his wife Erica, Samuel Brewer, Eli Brewer, Brigham Brewer, Brenna Jackson, Demi Jackson, Cort Hudson Jackson, Drew Jackson, Brittany Guthrie, Johnson Guthrie, Hawkins Ingram, Seth Ingram, Nathaniel Ingram, Brandon Raines, Justin Raines, Skylar Pankey and Sarah Blackburn, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Searcy.
