Rita Reep

Rita Reep, age 87, of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Mrs. Reep was born November 24, 1928 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Alex Kimbrell and Della Spakes Kimbrell. She was a 1949 graduate of Rison High School, a retired employee of the Area Agency on Aging and spent time volunteering at the Senior Citizen's Center. Mrs. Reep was a member of Free Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Rita loved spending time working in her yard, especially attending to her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Reep Jr.; son, Kip Reep; great grandson, Cy Reep; great granddaughter, Gabby Jackson; brother, Tracy Valentine; sisters, Ora Valentine, Eunice Nichols, Mabel Smith and Mildred Kimbrell.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmie Reep and wife Linda of Warren, Joey Reep of Rye, Lamar Reep and wife Linda of Randall; daughter, Kathy Norton and husband, Jacky of Randall; brother, Connie Kimbrell and wife, Opal of Rison; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Brother Hurley Ashcraft officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery at Rison. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Toby Reep, Kevin Reep, Jason Delk, Todd Reep, Chuck Valentine and Butch Segars. Memorials can be made to Prosperity Cemetery Association. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
