Rick "Bear" Werneck

Rick "Bear" Werneck, 61, of Sheridan, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. Mr. Werneck was born February 5, 1954, in Kennett, Missouri, to the late Carl Nolan and Erma Lou Hanners Werneck. He graduated from Dexter High School in Dexter, Missouri. After high school, he attended heavy equipment school in North Carolina. Mr. Werneck worked for Arkansas Metal Builders, where he was currently a supervisor. He attended New Life Fellowship Church in Sheridan and Poyen Assembly of God Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the RMR Hunting Club. He also loved spending time with his family and especially loved his God and his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Patsy Harris Werneck, whom he married October 4, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee; a son, Tony (Linda) Tuberville of Farmington Hills, Michigan; two daughters, Glenda Emerson of Sheridan and Krista (Sam) Townsend of Mt. Holly, Arkansas; a brother, Phillip Nolan Werneck of Dexter, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at New Life Fellowship Church with Reverends Steve Cypert and Mike Sullivant officiating. Interment will follow Philadelphia Cemetery.
