Richard Lacy

July 14, 1940 — January 26, 2016

Richard Lacy, 75, of Kensett, passed away January 26, 2016 at Unity Health in Searcy.  He was born July 14, 1940 at Flagstaff, Arizona.
Mr. Lacy served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Kensett First Baptist Church.  While in Arizona, he was a prison guard and after coming to White County, he worked for Bryce Corporation for 27 years then worked for the White County Sheriff’s office as a deputy, serving as bailiff for Judge Edwards for several years and as a correctional officer prior to his health failing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Turpin Lacy on March 17, 2005; as well as one step son, Ricky Fairfield.
He is survived by one granddaughter, Courtney Fairfield (Lisa) of Kensett; three nieces, Kelly Fulks (Wesley) of Searcy, Cheryl Rollins (David) of Judsonia, and Jennifer McIntosh (Davidde) of Judsonia; two great nephews, Kyler Fulks and Hunter Rollins; three great nieces, Brittany Gaines, Taylor Tiner, and Haley Tiner; brother in law, David Turpin (Gereta) and step son, Donnie Fairfield.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Monday February 1, 2016 at Kensett First Baptist Church until the funeral hour at 12:00 Noon.  Burial will follow at Kensett Cemetery.
