Reverend Michael Ray Gordon

Reverend Michael Ray Gordon age 50 of the Pansy Community went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 20, 2007. He was born November 4, 1957 in Fort Smith, a son of Dale and Wanda Gilbreath Gordon. Reverend Gordon was in the Ministry for 27 years. He was currently in charge of the Rowell Circuit with the United Methodist Church, covering Union, Prosperity and Mt. Olivet. Reverend Gordon was a former member of the Lions Club, Rotary and Kiwanis. He was preceded in death by one sister, Cindy Gordon.

Reverend Gordon is survived by his wife, Luann Patton Gordon of Pansy, whom he married on November 24, 1981 in Camas, Washington; daughter, Arrie Robinson of Pansy; two grandsons, Kevin Robinson and Taylor Robinson of Pansy; parents, Dale and Wanda Gordon of Fort Smith; brother, Steve Gordon of Fort Smith; sister, Marla DeCoster of Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff with Reverend Jim Brooks, Reverend Dennis Spence and Mr. Jimmy Boyd officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm. Monday, November 26, 2007 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Smith. Pallbearers are Dan Morrison, Terry Thompson, Michael Boyd, Lee Stover, Robert Donald Curry, Roy Boyd, Randy Boyd and Ralph Oglesby. Memorials may be made to the Mount Eagle Christian Center, 935 Beal Road, Clinton, Arkansas 72031.
