Raymond P. Manees

Raymond P. Manees of Vilonia, passed away peacefully in St. Andrews Nursing Home on February 11, 2019, at the age of 78. Raymond was born on September 7, 1940, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Claude Manees and Raebelle Milam. When Raymond was one year old, his mother married Travis Ellis who raised him as his own.  He served in the Marines during the Vietnam conflict. He enjoyed wood working, and going to the house boat on the lake and drinking coffee. He loved his momma, family, and all his friends. One of the last big things he did in his life was make a trip to Omaha, Nebraska to watch the Razorback college world series with his nephews, Trey, Kyle and several buddies. He often reflected on this trip and how much he enjoyed it.  Raymond is survived by two sons, Kenneth Williams and Russell Pinkard; one daughter, Amie Manees Roberts; two brothers, Travis Ellis (Sharon) of Conway; Anthony "Tony" Ellis (Sharolette) of Conway; one sister, Joyce Dovers of Vilonia; two grandchildren, Marc Sellers of Little Rock; Crystal Sellers of Vilonia; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, a grandson, Zachary Sellers;  two nephews, Jesse, and Monty Ellis. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 15th, 2019 at Vilonia First Assembly, with visitation one hour prior, also at the church. Bro. Don Rasco will be officiating. Burial will follow at Marcus Hill Cemetery in Enola. Pallbearers will be Austin Reddig, Frank Montgomery, Kelby Powell, Kyle Wyatt, Morgan Ellis, Roger Dovers, Stuart Bagwell, Trey Wyatt, Triston Wyatt, and Chloe Dreher.
