Raymond Evans
August 22, 1939 — December 8, 2016
Raymond Evans, 77, of Bald Knob, passed away December 8, 2016 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born August 22, 1939 at Judsonia to the late Debs and Esther Jones Evans.
Mr. Evans was a pipe liner for many years and retired from Underwood Construction.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Evans Jr.; a brother Kenneth Evans and infant brother, Clyde Evans.
He married Sybil English Evans January 16, 1965 at Searcy First Assembly of God; she survives. He is also survived a son, Russ Evans (Rhonda) of Bald Knob; daughter, Robyn Duncan (Stanley) of Bald Knob; five brothers, Leonard Evans (Sue) of Searcy, Herbert Evans of West Point, C.B. Evans (Vanette) of Bald Knob, Wayne Evans (Beth) of Bald Knob, and Jody Evans of Bald Knob; sister, Pauline Johnson (Sam) of Searcy; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside service is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Fredonia Cemetery in Bald Knob.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Stetson Evans, Jacob Ford, Race Ford, Roscoe Duncan, Eli Evans, and Jesse Duncan. Honorary pallbearers are Arlis Duncan and Bentley Evans.
