Randy Steve Reed

Randy Steve Reed, age 62, of Rowell, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 15, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mr. Reed was born June 20, 1954 in Rison, a son of Jeanette Herrington Reed and the late Mack Ray Reed. He was the owner of Randy Reed Logging and a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Reed was a kind-hearted, devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with his family, watching races and being outdoors. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his father, Mack Ray Reed and one granddaughter, Faith Reed.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Richardson Reed of Rowell; mother, Jeanette Herrington Reed of Rowell; two sons, Shannon Reed of Rowell, Chris Reed and wife, Elizabeth of Rowell; one brother, Gary "Pete" Reed and wife, Debbie; three sisters, Shirley Gorman, Roxanne Melgarejo and husband, Orlando, Renee Reed; two grandchildren, Seth and Cayden Reed, both of Rowell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2016 at Center Missionary Baptist Church in Rowell with Brother Michael Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. Pallbearers are Seth Reed, Chris Barnes, Josh Reed, Kenneth French, Matthew Wallace, Zeb Beard, Tyler Reed and Tim Reed; honorary pallbearers are Mike Umphres and Lamar Reep. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
