Ralph E. Brown

Ralph E. Brown, age 64 of the Hardin Community, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1946 in Spokane, Washington, a son of Benson K. Brown and the late Gloria M. Sullivant Brown. Mr. Brown was a welder for over 35 years, having retired from Strong manufacturing. He loved hunting and fishing, and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Judy Akines Brown of Hardin Community whom he married on May 5, 1978; father, Benson K. Brown of Pine Bluff; two brothers, Lester Brown of Pine Bluff and Bobby Brown of Washington State; two sisters, Rose Kimbrell and Barbara Wingfield, both of Redfield; and many other special family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 with Brother Bill Kiggins officiating at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
