Phyllis D. Selby

Phyllis Crutchfield Selby, age 65, of Herbine went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Bradley County Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1950 in Herbine, a daughter of the late Toy and Fannie Jeanetta Crutchfield. Mrs. Selby was a poultry farmer for many years. In her earlier years, she pursued her nursing career as a registered nurse with the Cleveland County Nursing Home. Mrs. Selby was a member of Free Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Selby enjoyed her pets, as they held a special place within her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, John Selby; daughters, Karen Smith of Herbine, Kellye Alstadt and husband, Matthew of Prattsville, Krissy Morrison and husband, Chet of Rison; step-son, Bob Woods of Rison; brother, Larry Crutchfield and wife, Marilyn of Monticello; grandchildren, Magan Smith, Bailey Smith, Drake Alstadt, James Morrison and Luke Morrison.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Prosperity Cemetery in Rison with Brother Jim Puckett officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Memorials can be made to the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
