Phyllis Jean Nutt

Phyllis Jean Nutt, age 88, of Benton went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 26, 2021. She was born December 29, 1932 to the late Ilus E. Provence and Florence Smith Provence. Ms. Nutt was a faithful member of Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock and worked as a medical transcriptionist for UAMS in her early years. She enjoyed painting, coloring and working in her flower bed. She will always be remembered for her feisty personality, her big heart and being a loving mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Noah L. Vanlandingham, her second husband A.D. Nutt, one brother John Provence, one sister Donna Provence Trammel and one step son Mike Vanlandingham.

She is survived by her daughter Sandy Vanlandingham, her partner in life, Toni Russell, step-children, Eddie Van Landingham and his wife Martha, Terry Vanlandingham and his wife Annette, Adeline Luzader, nieces and nephews, Teresa McNew, Linda Zombres, Tim Provence, Eddie Provence, Doyle Provence and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
