Peggy Jo Ashcraft, a beloved figure in her community and a cherished member of her family, passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 72 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on September 14, 1952, in Rison, Peggy embraced life with a warmth and enthusiasm that touched everyone she met. Peggy dedicated many years to her career as a nurse, profession through which she showcased her compassion and desire to care for others. After retiring, she found joy and purpose as the owner and operator of The Prissy Hen Farm, where she raised chickens. Beyond her professional life, Peggy cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her mother Charlene Bond. She was a devoted mother to Jason Coburn and his wife Alishia and Chris Coburn and his wife Bethany, both of whom carry forward her legacy of love and resilience. Her heart was filled with pride for her grandchildren—Noah, Jonah, Heath, Hunter, Haley, and Logan—who brought her endless joy and became the light of her life. As a sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, Peggy was loved by Doug Ashcraft and his wife Dana, Wanda Lain and her husband Mike, and her numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; each shared in her love for family gatherings and cherished moments.

Peggy was known for her zest for life, enjoying fishing, sewing, crocheting, and antiquing, activities that filled her days with creativity and connection to a simpler time. Notably, she had a special bond with her dogs, who brought her immeasurable happiness and companionship.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Harold Ashcraft, and her son, Adam Coburn, whose memories continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Buie & Cole Funeral Home in Rison, Arkansas.
