Paul L. Wright, 67, of Rison died Sunday, June 6, 2010. He was born April 16, 1943, in Warren to Myrtice Richardson Wright and the late Glen Wright. Mr. Wright was a 1961 graduate of Woodlawn High School and a member of the Rison Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was also a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and Reserves, served as a deacon at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, and was a member of Macedonia Builders. Mr. Wright retired in January 2009 after a 31 year career with C and L Electric Company.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Sandra Collins Wright, whom he married August 7, 1965, one son, Anthony Paul Wright of Houston, Texas and his mother, Myrtice Wright, of Rison. Also surviving him are his brother, Billy K. Wright, and his wife Susan of Pansy and his sister Glenna Knowles, and her husband Cade of Rison.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the Chapel of Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Reverend William Paul Woolley. Burial will follow at Prosperity Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Keith Wright, Jimmie Shelby, Tom Brown, Rickey Collins, William Ray Collier, Don Blasengame, Roger Cash, Greg Reed and John Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of C & L Electric. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Memorials may be made to the ABA Mission Fund; P.O.
