Patsy Jean (Knowles) Taliaferro

Patsy Jean Knowles Taliaferro, age 87, of Pine Bluff passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019. She was born October 19, 1931 in New Edinburg, Arkansas to the late Cade Carter and Aletha Inez Knowles. She was a faithful member of White Hall United Pentecostal Church. She was the longtime owner of her own beauty shop in Pine Bluff, Venus Hairstyling. She loved spending time with and talking about her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her church. She also loved her pets, trees and playing dominos.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Knowles and Cade Knowles.

She is survived by her sons, Edward M. Taliaferro and his wife Karen (KG) of Bothell, WA; Sandy T. Taliaferro and wife Rosemary of Hot Springs; Zackery E. Taliaferro and wife Kelly of Pine Bluff; Hampton E. Taliaferro and his wife Brittany of Ann Arbor, MI; siblings, Anna Sue Simmons and her husband Bobby of Nashville, TN; Louis Knowles of Rison; Jackie Knowles and his wife Jane of Dumas; Billy Knowles and his wife Martha of Rison; grandchildren, Megan Marino, Zack Taliaferro, Alex Cleveland, Nickolas Taliaferro, Miles Taliaferro, Anna Taliaferro, Bonham Taliaferro, Jade Taliaferro, Selah Inez Wardle, Ayleigh Taliaferro and Cade Taliaferro, and  5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Brother Chris Dixon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison.  Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
