Patricia Elaine (Baker) Johnson

Patricia “Pat” Elaine Baker, 69, was born on October 16, 1953 in Minden, Louisiana to William Archie and Clarice Margaret Garrison Baker.  Pat passed away on January 21, 2023 at Unity Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas.

Pat worked for 46 years as a teacher’s aide at Sunshine School in Searcy, Arkansas.  She also worked for the White County Group Homes for several years.  She volunteered for Special Olympics every year.  Pat enjoyed attending sporting events to support her grandchildren.  Pat loved to go out to eat at her favorite restaurants, especially the Country Kitchen in Kensett, for breakfast.  She loved to play spades and spend time with her family and friends.

Pat is survived by two daughters, Heather Baker Lee and Nakita Baker; six grandchildren: Keinan, Deshawn, and Aidan Lee, Dominique, Erykah, and Tadrian Baker; five great grandchildren: Keegan, Tristan, and Zakiah Lee, Jordyn Washington, and Demii Baker; five siblings: Janice (Herb) Taylor, Paul Brown, Richard (Paula) Baker, Machell Roberson, and Keith (Jannett) Baker; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, William Archie and Clarice Baker; her brother, Nolan Baker; her grandparents Josie Hardin, Clarence Nolen, Tommy Garrison, Bessie Nolen Garrison Baker, and Sam (SJ) Baker; her son-in-law, Robert Lee; her lifetime best friend and cousin Sheila Young, her mother, Clementine Williams and longtime friend, Kathy Goodlow; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that she loved so much.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Kensett First Baptist Church in Kensett, with burial will follow in Crow Cemetery.
