Pat Jennings

Patricia Wilson Jennings, age 70, of Rison passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her home. She was born December 4, 1943 in Thornton, Arkansas to Doshia Lee Davis Wilson and the late Everett E. Wilson. On June 27, 1965, she married Lamar Jennings. Patricia was the owner and operator of Pat Jennings Beauty Shop. Patricia was a member of Rison Baptist Church where she was active in the church youth groups. She was a wonderful wife and mother and brought a lot of joy to her husband and kids. Patricia also spent precious time spoiling her grandkids, going on vacation to the beach, snow skiing and going to visit her family. She had many hobbies including sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross stitching and teaching her grandkids to line dance at the American Legion. Pat also enjoyed her work at the beauty shop taking care of her friends in the community. She also dearly loved supporting the Rison Wildcat teams, cheerleaders and the band. She was preceded in death by her father; four sisters, Eloise Wilson, Bessie Wilson, Betty Marchant, and Margaret Henry. She is survived by her husband, Lamar L. Jennings; mother, Doshia Lee Davis Wilson; son, Kevin Lamar Jennings and his wife, Corrie of Mt. Ida; two daughters, Leslie Jennings Moore and her husband, Jeffrey of Little Rock and Laura Lee Jennings Burns and her husband, Thomas of Benton; seven grandchildren, Kayly LeAnne Hatton and her husband, Alec, Andrew Lamar Jennings, Dawson L.L. Jennings, Laura Elizabeth Moore, Mary Catherine Moore, Thomas Jennings Burns, and Reagan Patricia Burns; three sisters, Bobbie Wilson Lacewell and her husband, Kenny of Bryant, Mary Wilson House and her husband, Kenneth of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Lois Mosley and her husband, Clifford of Bearden. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Rison Baptist Church with Brother Danny Allen and Brother Wade Totty officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Blaine Jennings, Britton Jennings, Andrew L. Jennings, Thomas Jennings Burns, Dawson L.L. Jennings, Raymond Aud, Bill McKnight, Roth Rabb, and Herschel Garner. Honorary pallbearers are Cleve Reed, Hugh Paul Davis, Vernon Dollar, Ricky Fore, Dr. Phan Lein, Brother J.T. Harvill, Smitty Dedman, and Bobby Kimbrell. The family suggests memorials be made to the Rison Baptist Church Building Fund. The family wishes to express their special gratitude for the love and care given to Pat by her caregivers and Hospice Home Care of Pine Bluff.
