Orlando “Pete” Brewer, 50, of Kensett transitioned to a life of eternal rest August 18, 2020. He was born at Searcy on October 28, 1969 to Bobby Brewer, deceased, and Mary Whitney Brewer; she survives.
Orlando worked as a lead man at Johnson Supply in Houston, Texas for 10 years. He also served as a caregiver to his loving mother, Mary. With a tinker’s mind, and a servant’s heart, Orlando strived to better the lives of those around him with his ceaseless work. He enjoyed a day full of engineering new ways to tend to his home and mowing his lawn. Despite Orlando’s work ending as he entered rest, his memory will live forever in the lessons he taught and through the love he showed others. His beautiful, joy filled smile will be a sight missed by many.
Along with his father, Orlando was preceded in death by his grandmother, Earnestine Whitney; grandfather, Robert Whitney; grandfather, Milo Brewer; Aunt Loretta Miller; Uncle Don Whitney; Aunt Delois Whitney, Uncle James Brewer and Uncle Foster Baker.
Pete’s work and memory lives on with his mother, Mary Brewer of Kensett; daughter, Teniya Brewer of Houston, Texas; and a bonus daughter, Michelle Jackson of Houston, Texas; brothers, Kevin Brewer and Andra Brewer both of Little Rock; grandmother, Carrie Brewer of Kensett, aunts, Velta Baker and Patty Jackson of Kensett, and uncles, Robert Lee Whitney (Gwen) of Kansas City, Missouri, Eugene Whitney of Saginaw, Michigan and Greg Whitney (Kim) of Heber Springs.
Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. August 27, 2020 at Sullivan Memorial Chapel.
