Ollie Yvonne Veazey

Yvonne Veazey, age 69, of White Hall, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born May 20, 1938 in Grapevine, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Ulyss and Mary Walters Pierce. Mrs. Veazey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Veazey; half-brother, Louis Stewart. She was a homemaker and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Granny loved her children and her grandchildren and she adored her pets. She loved life, enjoyed being with her family and friends, but now she has gone home to be reunited with family gone before and her husband John, whom she missed very much. On that great reunion day, we know Granny will be waiting just for us with that big beautiful smile on her face.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Earl Ray Ashcraft of Sheridan, Sharon and Ronnie Smith of White Hall, Renee Veazey of White Hall; a brother, Daniel Pierce of Athens, Alabama; two grandchildren, Melissa Jones and Michael Smith; two great-grandchildren, Kristin Keen and Kara Faultersack.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan. (870)942-3231.
