Ollie Belle Smith

Ollie Belle Smith age 90 of Kingsland, died Friday, November 7, 2008 at Dallas County Hospital. She was born September 8, 1918 in Kingsland, a daughter of the late William Henry Golden and Frances Elizabeth Harris Golden. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Como Free Holiness Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ivy Smith; one son, Travis Lee Collins; six brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Smith is survived by three grandchildren, Laura Gomez of Blue Springs, Missouri, Mark Collins and Carlton Collins both of Kingsland; sixteen great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 at Buie Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mark Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the Stoney Point Cemetery near Fordyce. Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Max Hamilton, Mark Collins, Robert Thompson, Ed Gomez, Ronnie Oliver and Butch Oliver. Honorary pallbearer is Terry Martin. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
