Odessa Hunter

Odessa Hunter, age 83, of Benton passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born November 5, 1933 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Dexter Atchley and Dulcie Baker Atchley. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory, husband, Donald Hunter of Benton; daughter, Shelia Taylor of Benton; son, Rickey Hunter and his wife, Crissy of Sheridan; grandchild, Anthony Hedden; and great-grandchild, Davin Gage Hedden.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2016 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brother Clyde Chenault officiating. Interment will follow at Hedden Chapel Cemetery in Grapevine. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
