Norma Raydean (Baugh) Boyce

July 27, 1935 — November 30, 2017

Norma Baugh Pate Boyce, 82, of Bald Knob, was healed of daily pain and Alzheimer’s Disease on November 30th, 2017.  She is walking perfectly and remembering every blessing she has ever received.  She was born July 27, 1935 at Searcy and spent her entire life living, serving, and relying on Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
She was the daughter of Nellie Baugh and the mother of the late Wayne Pate (Judy) of Coldwater, Mississippi and Belinda Cooley (Donnie) of Bald Knob.  Norma has three grandchildren, Will Cooley (Cassie) of Bald Knob, Caleb Cooley (Katie) of Searcy and Bethany Cooley of Bald Knob; three great grandchildren, Noah Cooley, Emberlyn Cooley, and Tytan Godfrey.
Norma has several nieces and nephews that she loved greatly.  She was also very close to her sisters-in-law, Faye Pate, Janie Pate, and Irene Blankenship.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Baugh; sister, Eva Bailey; two husbands, Dwaine Pate and James Boyce; and one son, Wayne Pate.
Her life was full of hard work, sacrifices for her family, and service to her Lord.  She was a long time member of the South Heights Church of God in Searcy where she served as pianist/organist for over fifty years.  Norma was also the co-director of the Young Ladies Auxiliary for many years with her sister-in-law and best friend, Faye Pate.  She also served as director of special programs at church.  She taught her children to always rely on God and to pray about everything.  She retired from American Greetings Card Factory.  With her funny sense of humor, she said, “American Greetings had to close their doors to make me retire.”  Although her family’s hearts are broken, they are so happy that she is finally sitting at the feet of her Savior she depended on and lived for her entire life.  For the last three years she has asked to go home, and now, her prayers have been answered!
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at South Heights Church of God in Searcy.  Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m. Wednesday December 6, 2017 at the church with burial following at White County Memorial Gardens.
