Nelta Kay Brinkley

Nelta Kay Lawson Brinkley passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023, in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born on November 9, 1947, in Center Hill, Arkansas to Hardy and Esther Clay Lawson. Ms. Kay attended Temple Baptist Church and loved to sing and listen to gospel music. She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed providing food for others. She enjoyed all animals, but her fur babies held an extra special place in her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carroll “Rusty” Brinkley, one stepson, James Brinkley, and one sister, Fern Tarkington.

She is survived by her god daughter, Katrina (Jacob) Farris, god grandchildren, Landon, Micah, and Noah Farris.

A visitation will be held on July 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
