Nellie Mae Maddox

Nellie Mae Maddox, age 79, of Rison died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Greenhouse Cottages of Southern Hills. Mrs. Maddox was born March 22, 1937 in Wright, a daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn Wooten Horne. Mrs. Maddox worked in the bakery at County Market for several years before retiring. She loved family time and especially being a grandmother. Mrs. Maddox enjoyed playing dominoes with her sisters and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Junior Horne, Tom Horne; two sisters; Alice Lorene Smith, Lenora West and grandson, Bryan Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Smith and wife, Linda of Pine Bluff, Ronnie Smith of Rison; two brothers, Frank Horne of Pine Bluff, Glen Horne of Sheridan; one sister, Gladys Brown of White Hall; four grandchildren, Joseph Smith (Emily), Amanda Williams, Jeffrey Smith (LeAnn), Jennifer Linnell; twelve great grandchildren, Bryson Smith, Aiden Powell, Addison Smith, Cerylean Jones, Noah Jones, Zoe Jones, Kyla Williams, Patrick Williams, Emberlee Williams, Andrew Linnell, Braden Linnell and Kendle Linnell.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the home of Jimmy Smith (870)643-6866 with Brother Bob Long officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
