Nedra Armstrong Spakes Roberts

Nedra Armstrong Spakes Roberts, age 92, of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 2, 2013. She was born January 19, 1921 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late J. W. and Mattie Emma Jean Lee Armstrong. Mrs. Roberts was a child care provider for many years. She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Faith Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Roberts was also preceded in death by her husbands, Foy Havis Spakes, William Roberts; son, Darrell Spakes; son-in-law, James Pierce; grandchildren, Gary Pierce, Larry Pierce and Micheal Dewayne Cole; sister, Margaret Ballard. Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Havis and Fay Spakes of Calmer; four daughters and sons-in-law, Rosalee Pierce of Benton, Sue and Johnny Ballew of Rowell, Jessie Margaret and Mike Bunting of Randall, Linda and Sammie Vinson of Randall; daughter-in-law; Judy Spakes of Rowell; brother and sister-in-law, John and Ann Armstrong of Kansas City, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Graveside services are 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Rowell Cemetery with Reverend Brent Atkinson and Reverend Garry Wiles officiating. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Trinity Faith Assembly of God Church, P. O. Box 362, Rison, Arkansas 71665. The family will be at the home of Mickie Vinson, 130 Vinson Lane, Rison, Arkansas 71665.
