Myrtle Aleen Barker

Aleen (Waddle) Barker, age 73, of Vilonia, Arkansas; passed away Sunday, February 6th, 2022, at St. Vincent Medical Center In Little Rock.

She was born November 13th, 1948 in Vilonia, Arkansas to J. E. and Edith Aleen Waddle. She was a Christian in the Baptist faith. She loved being with her family, spending time with her dogs, reading, flowers and Elvis. She was a longtime employee of Virco.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Edith "Angel" Hammond and husband, Don of Springfield, Arkansas; two grandsons, Brian Helfer and wife, Amanda of Guy, Arkansas; Josh Helfer and wife, Sasha of Conway; five great-grandchildren, Julie, Kymberly, Jacob, Jaylen and Willow; two sisters, Florence Sowell and husband, Paul of Vilonia; Mary Hernandez and husband, Miguel of Wooster, Arkansas; one brother, Ed Waddle of Little Rock; her fur babies, Thunder and Hercules, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. E. and Edith Waddle and two brothers, Herbert Waddle and Othar (Oach) Waddle.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, February 10th, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Vilonia Funeral Home Chapel, 1134 Main Street, Vilonia, Arkansas 72173. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 11th, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church, 767 Rocky Point Rd, Conway, AR 72173, with Rev. Bobby Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Vilonia Cemetery in Vilonia, AR.

Since Aleen's favorite color was yellow, it is encouraged that attendees wear something yellow to honor her memory.

Pallbearers for the service are Brian Helfer, Joshua Helfer, Tommy Hall, Jerry Hall, Paul Sowell, Miguel Hernandez.
