Mykila Donaldson

Mykila Dawn Betts Donaldson, 50, of McRae passed from this life December 27, 2020 peacefully in her home.  She was born December 17, 1970 to Ronnie Betts and Wanyoka Betts Dixon at Searcy in the Porter Rogers Hospital.  She married her beloved husband, Keith Donaldson, March 23, 1995 at Rosebud; he survives.  Together they share 25 years of matrimony, enjoying many days of love and laughter.
She was preceded in death by three grandfathers, Burnice Osborne, Frank Betts, and Frank Bell; her stepfather, Ronnie Dixon; her mother-in-law; Carolyn Stanridge; stepbrother, Tommy Dixon; and stepsister, Wendy [MS1] Dixon.
Mykila was a woman who loved her family and friends dearly.  She had a heart for pets; not having any of her own gave her time to love on other’s pets.  She was an avid Macgyver fan, rarely missing an episode.  She loved to crochet, read books, watch tv shows, and even dabble in writing short stories.  Her family enjoys sharing the story of when she made her father his “not so favorite” meal.  She sent the ingredient list to her stepmother and behold she made Ronnie Mexican Chicken for dinner.  He would happily enjoy a plate of that now.
Left to remember her sparkling personality and smiling eyes are her husband, Keith Donaldson of McRae; father Ronnie (Debra) Betts of Searcy; mother, Wanyoka Dixon of McRae; sister, Kimberly (Michael) Meszaros of Beebe; brothers Jacob Dixon of McRae, and Lynn (Connie) Betts of Clinton; stepsisters, Reia (Roger) Garner, Marla (Billy) Caldwell, Kendell (Jacob) Powell all of Searcy; grandmothers, Ollie Bell and Hazel Osborne also of Searcy; father-in-law, Keith Donaldson, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Sullivan Memorial Chapel.  All are welcome to join the family in sharing their favorite memories of Mykila.
