Miriam Riggan

Miriam Ann Starks Riggan, age 84 of Leola, passed away December 21, 2023.  She was born October 4, 1939 in Carthage, AR to the late Baron and Miriam Fraiser Starks.  Miriam enjoyed spending time working in her flower gardens, feeding her hummingbirds, bird watching, and sewing clothes for her family. She was an excellent cook and was known for her pies.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, and being the best grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rusty Starks.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 65 years, James Riggan, daughters, Vicki Hodges (Kelly), and Rachelle Riggan, grandchildren, David Oden, Danny Oden (Jamie), Bradley Wallace (Amanda), and Mitchell Wallace, great grandchildren, Elijah, Josh, Lukas, Layton, Austin and Wrenley, and a host of family and friends.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Leola Cemetery in Leola, AR.
