Mildred Jynell "Arkie" Randall

Mildred Jynell Randall, age 80, formerly of Prattsville, passed away at her home in Antlers, OK on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on July 19, 1933 in Benton, AR to John E. "Jack" and Ollie Cordell. Known to family and friends as "Arkie," Mrs. Randall was a retired hotel and restaurant owner. She was also an animal advocate, who especially loved dogs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Melvin Randall of Antlers, OK; sisters Dorothy Turney and Carolyn Parton of Prattsville and Theresa Martinez of Pine Bluff; and brother Johnny Carroll Cordell of Benton. Mrs. Randall is survived by her sister, Glenda Johnson of Prattsville; her niece and nephews include LaMar Johnson of Shannon Hills; John Cordell, DeAndra Johnson, Steven Spivey and Skylar Johnson all of Prattsville. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunshine Hospice in Durant, OK. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. No services are scheduled at this time.
