Mildred Ester Kirk

Mildred Ester Kirk age 83 of Rison, went home to meet her Lord and Savior Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Cleveland County Nursing Home in Rison. She was born July 27, 1924 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Ben and Edna Harris Whitehead. Mrs. Kirk was a retired Beauty Operator and a Baptist. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, George W. Kirk; three brothers, Harold Whitehead, Lance Whitehead, C. W. Whitehead; sister, Jane Zahn.

Mrs. Kirk is survived by her husband, Hugh Gene Kirk of Rison; daughter and son-in-law, Georgia and Lawrence Morse of Little Rock; grandchildren, Steve Fletcher and wife Sandy of Rowell, Sherri Blunk and husband Philip of Little Rock; great grandchildren, Christopher Fletcher, Austin Blunk, Brannon Blunk, Eden Blunk; brother, Leon Whitehead of Tyler, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Billy White of Pine Bluff; step children, Wayne Kirk, Kathleen Cockrell of Kansas City, Shelley Knipple and husband Eugene of Lincoln, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Reverend Philip Blunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Rowell Cemetery near Rison. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
