Mike Kimmel

Mike Kimmel age 57, of Grapevine, went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 15, 2013. He was born May 13, 1955 in Pine Bluff, a son of the late Fred Kimmel and Betty Sharp Kimmel. Mr. Kimmel was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, and was employed with Union Pacific Railroad over 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and chuck wagon Races. Mr. Kimmel loved spending time with his family and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Fred Kimmel Jr. and sister, Karen Coats. Survivors include his loving wife, Joann Davis Kimmel of Grapevine; two sons, Kevin and Brandi Kimmel of Grapevine, Michael Kimmel Jr. of Grapevine; brother, Phillip Kimmel of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Brenda Burns of Warren and Nancy McNeil of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Kalon, Peyton, Ashtyn and Davis Kimmel. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2013 at Bethany Number One Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Rusty Womble officiating. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Pallbearers are Kenny Simpson, Jeff Watson, Kurt Copeland, Jeff Lybrand, Pete Lybrand, and Bill Tom Rogers.
