Michael Joe Rubottom
February 19, 1949 — April 6, 2016
Michael Joe Rubottom, 67, of Des Arc, passed away April 6, 2016 at Des Arc Nursing Home. He was born February 19, 1949 at McCrory to the late Sam and Mabel Rubottom.
He graduated from McCrory High School in 1967 and served on the National Honor Society and Student Council. He attended Arkansas State University and went on to serve in the United States Air Force and then owned and operated Crook Brothers Hardware in McCrory.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doyne Rubottom.
He is survived by two daughters, Christy McAlister (Robert) of Dallas, Texas and Lori Karimi (Reza) of Stockholm, Sweden; grandson Sam Karimi also of Stockholm, Sweden; sister, Sandy Bayliff of Marshall, Arkansas; two brothers, Donald Rubottom and Gary Atkins both of Wichita, Kansas; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
