Michael Brandon Owens

Michael Brandon Owens, age 36, of Sheridan passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at his home. He was born December 9, 1980 in Little Rock to Michael Owens and Diane Rhodes. Brandon enjoyed drawing big trucks and twirling thread on popsicle sticks. He loved NASCAR and telephoning his family. Brandon had a big heart and loved everyone. Brandon was a member of Ain Missionary Baptist Church in Grapevine and was a 2000 Sheridan High School graduate. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claud and Jacqueline Rhodes; paternal grandmother, Betty Briley; aunt, Faye Huggins; and cousin, Nathan Owens.

Left to cherish his memory, mother, Diane (Cole) Rhodes Davis of Sheridan; father, Michael W. (Beverly) Owens of Sheridan; sister, Brandi (Kevin) Kimmel of Grapevine; step-sisters, Lauri (Joe) Sworan and Colleen Davis, both of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Jayce Davis of Sheridan; step-brother, Billy Joe "B.J." Webb of Sheridan; grandfather, Bobby Owens of Hanford, California; aunts, Marilyn (Robert) Hurst, Brenda (Harlan) Brown, and Darlene Rhodes; great-aunt, Natha Lee Bilash of Sheridan; uncles, Robert (JoAnne) Rhodes, Charles Rhodes, David (Shirley) Owens, Billy (Cathy) Owens, and Danny (Beverly) Owens; and nieces, Kaylon Kimmel, Peyton Lovell, and Ashtyn Kimmel.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Interment will follow at Rhodes Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Ronald Hurst, Michael Rhodes, Allen Rhodes, Jimmy Donaldson, Chris Brown, and Jeremy Brown.
