Melinda Kay Lachowsky-McHam

Melinda Kay Lachowsky-McHam, 56, of Conway, AR, passed away on August 15, 2023 after her battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on December 29, 1966 to Bobby & Sue Kirkland in Jacksonville, AR. After graduating from Mt. Vernon High School, she went on to study Early Childhood Development. After her studies she started her in-home Daycare, Small-Fry Daycare. After her Daycare endeavor she then worked for Independent Living Services while helping her late husband with the Log Cabin Democrat Paper Route(s). After her late husband passed she went back to what she loved most which was helping kids with the Hippy program.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby & Sue Kirkland; her brother, Hap Kirkland; her husband Frank McHam; grandparents, Troy and Allie Kirkland, Bill and Mable Johnson.

She is survived by her Son, Ian Lachowsky(Katelyn) of Conway, Daughter, Stormi Warner(Bailey) of Damascus, and Stepson, Wyatt McHam of Conway; Sisters, Deeann Fleck (Marvin) of El Paso and Debbie Atkinson (Ken) of Conway; her boyfriend of 3 years, Ray Masterson; her former husband, Joe Lachowsky(MJ) of Conway; a step-grandson;  and a whole host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, at Vilonia Funeral Home (501) 796-2275.
