Matthew Thomas Beene

Matthew Thomas Beene, of Mount Vernon, went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2020, at the age of 40.

Matt was born on March 19, 1980, in Searcy, Arkansas. He graduated in 1998 from Mount Vernon/Enola High School. He worked many years as a carpenter. He was an artist. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, hunting, playing basketball, spending time outdoors Kayaking and canoeing. Matt was a loving devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Tonyna Beene of the home, one daughter, Jolena Beene, his father, Mark Beene of Mount Vernon; Mother, Sheila Beene of Mount Vernon; Step-father, Bruce Lillard (Elaine) of Bonham, Texas; one brother, Clay Blake (Kimberly) of Center Ridge; three sisters, Jessica Hooten (Andy) of Mount Vernon; Mandy Luedke (Jacob Drysdale) of Mount Vernon; Stephanie Beene of Mount Vernon; grandfather, Sam McKaskle of Conway; two grandmothers, Carla Humphrey of Conway; Fran Hannah of Greenwood, Arkansas; four nieces, Mollie Walker, Jill Blake, Addie Blake, Mackenzie Beene, two nephews, Garett Luedke and Lake Drysdale, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Elsie Beene; uncle, Larry Beene; sister, Heather Lillard and his mother, Tracy Lillard.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Vilonia
Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Brown Cemetery in Barney with Brother Greg Hogan and Brother Clay Blake officiating. Pallbearers are John Beene, Greg Beene, Clay Blake, Garett Luedke, Andy Hooten, Jacob Drysdale, James Mullins and Brad Beene.

A memorial fund has been established to assist the family at Centennial Bank under Amanda Luedke/Memorial Fund For Matt Beene.
