Mary Lou Reed, 82, of Rison went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2014. She was born January 25, 1932 in Rison, daughter of the late Jack White and Norvella Harris White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Evan Reed whom she married May 21, 1949 in Rison; son, Clayburn Reed; brothers, Alfred White, Thomas White, and Roy White. Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include, daughters, Louvada Reed Redwine and Wayne of Arlington, Texas, and Nancy Reed York and John of Rison; grandchildren, Tammy Stigall, Darrell Redwine, Misty Cates, Kristy Enloe, and Micheal Tharp; great grandchildren, Kayla Stigall, Dean Stigall, Hannah Kelley, Colton Enloe, Ella Redwine, Ava Redwine, Reed Cates, and Allison Cates. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Johnie Brewster officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Kedron. Pallbearers are Greg White, Jonathan White, Zack White, Johnny Howard, Kevin Reed, and Layne Reed. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison. (870) 325-6216.
