Mary Jane Mcpherson

Mary Jane “Janie” McPherson was born February 5, 1941, in Brickeys, AR. She entered peacefully into Eternal Life on August 10, 2022, at the age of 81.

Janie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was blessed with a large family. She raised her family primarily in Lepanto and Searcy, AR.  While employed at American Greetings, in Lepanto, Janie met her true love, Vern. She eventually followed her passion by opening and operating “Janie’s,” a fashion and accessory boutique while at the same time working for Glamour

Shots/Glass Photography. After selling her business, Janie moved to the Kensett/Searcy area. In failing health, Janie and Vern moved to Marion to be closer to family.

Janie was one of a kind with a magnetic personality! She lived life to the fullest and had a great sense of humor. Janie’s laugh was the best! It was incredibly infectious and is affectionately remembered by everyone. She loved her children and was one of the most vocal fans in the stands!  Janie was a hard-working, caring, spunky, stylish, and strong woman. She will be truly missed!

Janie was preceded in death by her mother Connie Young, 2 brothers, Jackie Hargrove and Jerry Richardson, and her precious daughter Nicole McPherson. She is survived by Vern, her husband of 49 years; children; Teresa (Mike) Straubie, Robert (Linnea) Thompson, Connie (Lisa) Thompson, Billie (Paul) Ginn, Ashley Taylor, Kelsey McPherson, and Lynsey McPherson; grandchildren; Christina, Katie, Roby, Holly Thompson, Evan, Nicholas, Brooke, Sarah, Holly Taylor, and Samson; siblings; Rick Mills, Ann Wilkes, and Bobbie Arnold; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends.
