Mary M. Wilson Douglas

Mary Wilson Douglas, age 94, of Sheridan went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Aunt Mutt as she was known by her family, was born October 23, 1915 near Sheridan, in Grant County to the late J.W. and Lou McClung Wilson. Mrs. Douglas lived most of her adult life in Little Rock where she was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She later became a resident of Crown Point Assisted Living in Sheridan. Mrs. Douglas was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray M. Wilson; sister, Elsie Venable; nephew, Ray M. Wilson Jr.; niece, Carolyn Lanehart.

She is survived by one nephew, James A. Jack Winston and his wife Peggy of Rison; great-nephew, Steve Winston and his wife Belinda of Sheridan; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; one son, Michael Douglas.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan with Reverend Michael R. Poye officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan. (870) 942-3231.
