Mary Francis Connett

Mary Francis Connett age 63 of Rison, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born December 24, 1944 in Jefferson County, Alabama, a daughter of the late Francis A and Mammie Love Melvin. Mrs. Connett was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Austin T. Melvin, Frank Douglas Melvin, Louis M. D. Melvin, Jimmy Melvin and Leroy Melvin; one sister, Verlie Wilson.

Mrs. Connett is survived by her husband, Curtis Connett Jr. of Rison; one son and daughter-in-law, Bryan Curtis and Brandie Connett of Star City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Tony Vilches of New Edinburg, Robin and David Green of Rison; three brothers, James Carlos Melvin of Bradford, Alabama, Robert E. Melvin of Pinson, Alabama, Ricky J. Melvin of Springville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Zachary Alexander Green, Laci Nicole Green, Jacob Olen Green, Anthony Ray Vilches, Braylin Alexis Connett.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June, 1, 2008 at Rideouts Trussville Chapel in Trussville, Alabama. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 2 at Rideouts Trussville Chapel with Brother Frankie Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Cemetery at Jefferson County, Alabama.
