Marvene Hoggard
July 12, 1937 — June 11, 2015
Marvene Ruth Hutchison Hoggard, 77, of Searcy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2015. She was born July 12, 1937 in Egypt, Arkansas; growing up on the family cotton farm where she met her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Brady Hoggard; their three children, Phil Hoggard (Judy) of Searcy, Kim Hoggard Himsteadt (Henry) of Cabot, and Brad Hoggard (Roxanne) of Collierville, TN; and one sister, Gail Davis. She was known as Memar to her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Marvene was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Thelma Hutchison; a sister, Willa Dean Neely; and a grandson, Jay Wesley Hoggard.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and always loved her church family. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her humor and spunky attitude. Her family and friends will remember her for her sweet, gentle nature and the legacy she left as a disciple of Christ.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 12 at Foothills Church of Christ in Searcy. Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, also at the church. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foothills Church of Christ Building Fund.
