Mark Johnson

A celebration of life for Mark Johnson will be held in Sheridan Arkansas at Burns Park on May 3, 2014 at 1 pm. Mark was born on June 1st, 1963 in Terre Haute, and died April 18th, 2014 in Sheridan, Arkansas. Mark was a kind, good hearted man that would help anyone anyway he could. He had an amazing sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He had a passion for music, and sang for his church on occasion. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He had a strong sense of faith, and was an active member of the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock. Mark had many struggles in his life, which he faced and overcame by keeping his chin up and looking forward. With all the obstacles Mark faced, he remained an optimist, keeping a smile on his face and always a song in his heart. Mark's family and friends are deeply saddened by his death. His depth and complexity has touched all who knew him. We invite you to mourn his absence, and honor him with love and reflection. Mark is survived by his mother, Glenna Kelley; daughter, Geneka Byers; son, Mathew Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Alisha Johnson; sisters, Terri Frost, Teresa Everett, and Tonya Corona.
