Mark (Happy) Glover

Mark Sherrod "Happy" Glover, 95, of Little Rock, passed away on July 6, 2012. He was born in Rison, Arkansas, to Twillie Homer and Marcia Reed Glover on January 11, 1917. After attending Woodlawn School and graduating from Rison High School, he attended Ouachita Baptist University and later served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He then returned to Rison, married Nancy Moore, and managed the family's farming interests and grocery store. He later established and owned Central Asphalt Co. in Benton, Arkansas. He was active with his family at Rison Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. In 1997, he and his wife moved to Little Rock, where they were members of Immanuel Baptist Church and lived at Parkway Village. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Parkway and his special caregivers in his last years: Pat, Carol Wilson and Carol Price, Sherron, Mildred, Marie, DeeDee and Rebecca. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy Kathryn Moore Glover, his three sisters, and one brother. He is survived by his daughter Judy Caruthers, grandson Mark Caruthers and wife Holly, granddaughter Kathryn Maack and husband BJ Maack, his great-grandchildren, Libby, Anna, Rachel, and Andrew Maack, all of Little Rock, and sister-in-law, Jean Atwood of Pine Bluff. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 9, at Rison Baptist Church, with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm, with Brother Wade Totty officiating. Graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison. Pallbearers are Tom Ackerman, Vic Atwood, Mark Caruthers, Jimmy Clark, Skip Clark, and BJ Maack. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Atwood, John Atwood, Joe Conery, John Cuthbertson, and Arnis Glover. Memorials may be made to Rison Baptist Church, P. O.
