Marion Hiram Mcgee

May 5, 1954 — January 17, 2021

Bradford

Marion Hiram McGee Jr, 66, of Bradford left his earthly home and entered eternal rest January 17, 2021.  He was born May 5, 1954 to the late Marion Hiram McGee and Meriom Scarbrough McGee at Ypsilanti, Michigan.  He married LaDonna McGee February 28, 2015. They shared almost six years of matrimony.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Frances, Lillian, Mark, Joey, and Mike.
Marion proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed sharing his military stories with other veterans.  He donated his time and money to veteran based programs.  He was a giving man who wore the mask of a stern man, but he was a marshmallow man on the inside.  He also wore a brave face, protecting those he loved and the underdogs as well.
He had a heart for animals as well.  He would slam on his breaks to keep from running over an animal on the road.  He would not kill a snake.  All animals had a soft spot in his heart. Marion also played in a band in his younger years.  He loved to sing no matter the platform.  He would sing around the house and sing in the church choir.  His tunes will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, LaDonna; stepmother Verla Fern Jarmusch of Bradford, Arkansas; sons, Joshua Aaron McGee of Cypress, Texas, Matthew Ryan McGee of McMinnville, Oregon; stepson William Dranan Bush of Georgetown, Arkansas; daughter, Kathern Elizabeth McGee (Juan Fransico Escobar) of Ilabsco Cabanas, El Salvador; stepbrother Adam Joseph Jarmusch of Bryant, Arkansas; grandchildren Joshua, Justice, LaiLannie, Natasha, Anthony, Adrian, Izabella, Destinee, AnnaSophia; and many friends and family.  He will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2020 at Bethany Baptist Church in Georgetown.
