Marilyn Jean Cone

December 22, 1953 — December 18, 2022

Searcy

Marilyn Jean Cone, 68, of Searcy, Arkansas, departed this life on December 18, 2022, surrounded by her daughters. She was born on December 22, 1953, in Naples, Texas, to the late Bobby Connor and Barbara Wammock.

Marilyn spent her life as a devoted Christian, daughter, sister, mother, Nana, and friend. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse for 37 years. She spent her time sewing, cooking, traveling, and planning family gatherings. Her family was paramount to her as she was the Matriarch, who listened patiently, reacted slowly, and enlightened others with her wisdom. She was a woman who always put God first in her life. To know Marilyn was to love her.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Stephanie Heidelberg (Sean) of Searcy, Arkansas and Danielle Hearyman (Mark) of Judsonia, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Abby Heidelberg, Connor Davis, Linley Davis, Lacey Hawkins (Seth), Hannah Grimes (Harley) and Cody Hearyman; three great-grandchildren, Alivia Hawkins, Harley Grimes, and William Grimes; one brother, Michael Connor (Teresa) of Searcy, Arkansas; one sister, Linda Cooper (Gerald) of Melbourne, Arkansas; nephews, Blake Cooper (Erica), and Bobby Connor (Anna); nieces, Amanda Davis (Jason), and Savannah Lewis (Tyler); one great niece, and several great-nephews; as well as her loving and devoted companion, Charlie Cartwright.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bobby Connor and Barbara Wammock; Aunt Ladelle Glover; maternal grandparents Woodrow and Vida Landers; paternal grandparents Willie and Julia Connor.

Proverbs 31:26 ‘She opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.’
