Marie Kea Brown, age 88, of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 7, 2013. She was born February 18, 1925 in Kingsland, a daughter of the late Lee Benjamin Kea and Clara Mina Lewis Kea. Mrs. Brown was the former co-owner of Brown's Texaco and a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother, known to all as Mama Brown; and loved fishing. She was active in the Cleveland County Fair Association and was a fifty year member of the Rison E H Club. Mrs. Brown was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of Rison Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther W. Brown on January 30, 1995; children, Luther Wayne Brown, A. J. and Sue Brown; granddaughter Stacey Sadler; brothers and sisters. Mrs. Brown is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Myles Brown and Carolyn of Jacksonville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat Boyd and George of Rison, Lavetra Ashcraft Davis and Dennis of St Joe; daughter-in-law, Schaun Brown of Rison; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Wade Totty officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Bobby Lee Terry, Billy Knowles, Cleve Reed, Gary Goolsby, Bill McKnight, Thomas Carter Wilson, Paul McKnight and Stan Sadler.
