Margie Nell Rodgers

Margie Nell Rodgers, age 78, of Rison passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at her home. She was born October 30, 1935 in Rowell, Arkansas to the late G.M. Kesterson and Hazel Covington Kesterson. Mrs. Rodgers was of the Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was employed 28 years with several county treasures as a Deputy Treasure. Mrs. Rodgers is proceeded in death by her husband Robert Rodgers, whom she married on June 17, 1954 and sister, Eddie Ruth Glover. Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her son, Burt Rodgers and his wife, Ann of Woodlawn; daughter, Ellen Ray and husband, Mark of Woodlawn; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Brother Don Breshears and Brother Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Allen Wilson, Brett Rodgers, Joe Rauls, Jack Rodgers, Mike Glover, and David Algea.
