Mae Etta White, age 83, went to her heavenly home on February 1, 2024 in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born to the late Harvey LaRue Hurley and Naomi Ruth (Wilkerson) Hurley in rural McCracken County, Kentucky. Childhood years were spent in Paducah, Kentucky graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School.

Mae Etta had a lifelong career in nursing. She married Huey, the love of her life, in 1967. Together they lived and worked in many places following his Air Force career, most notably Goose Bay, Labrador.

Retirement brought traveling around the country and later settling down in Florida. Lifelong hobbies included crafting, painting, scrapbooking, playing cards and board games.

She is preceded in death by her husband Huey P White and one step daughter Debra Corbitt.

She is survived by one brother H.L. Hurley (Ellen), her daughter Janna Stanley (Rick), her son Roger White (Carla), two stepsons, Ray White (Robin) and Ricky White (Sue), ex daughter-in-law Cindy White, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be held at the Memphis National Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. She will be placed alongside her beloved husband Huey a retired Vietnam Veteran.
