Madge Regina Kimbrell Broxson

August 25, 1955 — September 8, 2024

Madge Regina Broxson, affectionately known as Sis and GiGi, passed away on September 8, 2024, in Porter, Texas, at the age of 69. Born on August 25, 1955, in Warren, Arkansas, she was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and pet parent.

Regina grew up in a loving family, she was daddy’s girl and shared a special bond with her brother Butch, who she considered both a big and little brother as well as her best friend. She was a spiritual pillar and spent her whole life deeply rooted in her faith and was a dedicated member of the Humble Assembly of God in Humble, TX where she nurtured her faith and community ties. Regina’s love extended fervently to her husband Bob with whom she shared a 45-year marriage and her beloved dogs, Casey, Treasure, Montana, and Molly.

Regina had a passion for traveling and shared many adventures with Bob in Mexico, Venezuela, Germany, England, Scotland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, and Liechtenstein. Their most cherished vacations were to Hawaii and Alaska, which left them with unforgettable memories. Regina's love for her family was profound; and she maintained strong bonds with her relatives, often spending holidays in Arkansas. She greatly enjoyed spending time with and caring for Alyssa and Nick. 

Regina attended Dollarway Elementary School and graduated from White Hall High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She furthered her education at the College of the Mainland, which paved the way for a fulfilling career. For 15 years, she served diligently as an insurance claims adjuster at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Houston, TX and was a certified cosmetologist. Regina generously shared her skills volunteering at a local nursing home grooming residents and enhancing their dignity and quality of life. Regina's artistic flair was evident in her home, adorned with her own artwork, including the notable "Believe" canvas on display at her memorial.

Regina is survived by her loving husband Bob Broxson and their pup Molly of New Caney, TX; brother Butch Kimbrell from Magnolia, TX; brother-in-law Randy Broxson of Pflugerville, TX; brother-in-law Jim and wife Donna Broxson of Quitman, AR; and nieces and nephews Alyssa Kimbrell, Carolyn Bachmeyer, Sue Miller, Nick Kimbrell, John Schneider, James Broxson, and Lee Broxson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Virginia Kimbrell; and grandparents Claude and Mildred Phillips McGarity and Sylvester and Virgie Payne Kimbrell.

The community and loved ones will gather to celebrate her life and honor her memory, cherishing the indelible marks she left on their hearts and lives. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Buie & Cole Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Buie & Cole Funeral Home, located at 302 Main Street, Rison, Arkansas 71665. Burial  will follow at Prosperity Cemetery in Rison, Arkansas. For those wishing to pay their respects, the funeral home can be contacted at (870) 325-6216.
